Meet the World’s LONGEST Feather Boa!

Waverly here with some UNBELIEVABLE news – I witnessed an official attempt for a new Guinness World Record™️ in Times Square, well, for that day,  it was renamed “BOA BOULEVARD!”  Right outside of two of my favorite places to visit – Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square and Madame Tussauds, with awesome Drag Queen Shangela from “A Star is Born” and Rupaul’s Drag Race there to get us all in the mood to party, this was the perfect way to celebrate World Pride!! Let me tell you, it was colorful, exciting, and amazing to be there feeling all the love!

And when Shangela came out to perform, the whole street went wild!! Even my mom danced!

She didn’t only perform – she spoke and inspired the huge crowd to be our own unique selves and to just let everyone love who they want to love and be who they want to be. She spoke about diversity and inclusion and told us to “lift ourselves up and keep going” if we ever go through bad times. She was beautiful, talented, and very nice also! I was lucky enough to meet her and ask her a question, check it out:

I couldn’t believe it, but I was really there at Ripleys Believe It Or Not! Times Square, with Shangela! It was a true “believe it or not” moment and I’m so thankful I got to meet her and hear her words of wisdom.
So….getting back to the Boa….was the official attempt successful? YES!!! Spencer from Guinness World Records was there to make sure it “measured up” – and it did!

It is nearly four times the length of the Empire State Building!! OMG!! Don’t believe me? Go see it for yourself at Ripleys Believe It or Not! Times Square (I love it there SO MUCH!)A special LGBTQ+ exhibit and collection items are on display during the month of June including a red stiletto car and the record-breaking boa itself, along with Madame Tussauds New York transforming a section of their A-List room to the Gay-List to feature prominent LGBTQ+celebrities. Ripley’s and Madame Tussauds are also partnering with The Trevor Project to donate a portion of sales to the non-profit. How cool is that? As Shangela would say, “Halleloo!” Just another reason to love Ripley’s Believe it or Not and Madame Tussauds! And speaking of love….remember, love is love! <3
