The Mom here! ‘Tis the Season…for  The Illusionists on Broadway!  Yes, they’re back for a fifth mind-blowing season, and of course we wouldn’t miss it!  I can “Mom-Review” this show in one word:   WOW.  But that’s no fun, so here’s Waverly with her take on it.

Waverly here!  I knew from seeing The Illusionists the last few years that this was going to be A-MAZ-ING, and boy, was I right! Literally every minute of every act was stunning — everyone in the audience was stumped, wracking their brains trying to figure out just how these guys did their magic! My advice? Don’t even try…just relax and enjoy the show! With 1 part humor and 1 million parts astounding, these 6 guys will blow your minds and make you laugh while they’re doing it! We were all cracking up when Don Chambers, The Showman, pulled beer after beer after beer (times a million!) from a paper bag and even from his shoe! And Chris Cox, The Mind Reader, made us all laugh while he literally read people’s thoughts…and told us some really specific details about a random audience member. All I can say is, O.M.G.  That’s what you’ll say too  when you see him in action…and take my advice – keep him away from your drink!

Another cool part in the show was “Kevin’s Workshop” where Kevin James, The Inventor, freaked us all out by making an Elf come to life.  I liked the cool Nutcracker music that was playing while we witnessed what I can only describe as a miracle … or maybe it was an Illusion! I’m honestly not sure! Enzo, The Unforgettable, explained one of his amazing tricks and even walked us through it, but of course tricked us all again and left us scratching our heads, as usual!

Each Illusionist brought his own unique personality and style of magic to this show –  every minute of it is astounding, suspenseful, mysterious, and magical. It’s full of laughter and surprises and take it from me, kids and parents will both have a fun time together! There are special parts that include children and also plenty of jokes for the adults.  I think this show is the best thing since sliced bread…and if you want to know what I mean, you’ll just have to get yourself a ticket!  But don’t wait too long – these guys will disappear after January 5th!
